The innovation from China: rapid progress.
For a long time the United States has been known as the land of rapid progress. Now it appears that China is going to take that title. As soon as the software and hardware in 10 years in the United States come up with a new idea, the Chinese not only make copies of it but they even improve on it. Without waiting for market forces to settle down, the Chinese are introducing new products at a rapid pace.
Granted, some of these new ideas will fall by the wayside. Yet still, they are flooding the market place with so much new stuff that it becomes difficult for any one company to maintain their dominant position in the consumer electronics industry.
Notice how many of the products now are being made not just in Japan and Korea, but from mainland China. Even on eBay the Chinese consumer electronics products dominate. They have the best price and performance of anything in their class.
The argument can be made that the Chinese products do not have the same quality standards. Yet that does not stop American consumers from snatching up these products as soon as they get to our shores. At this rate the Chinese will soon invade our country, not necessarily with their people, but with their products.
Do you want proof? Just go to eBay or any other auction sites you know of and take a look at the offerings in consumer electronics and cameras.

No doubt you have already heard the news stories on television and radio. The Toyota motor Co. is now recall in a large number of its vehicles for some kind of like it mechanical or software failure. The first reports only indicated a failure with some mechanical component. Then reports came out that it was a software problem.
Now here’s what this means to you. It means that now it would be more difficult for you to trust a car manufacturer to tell you the truth about their vehicles before you buy one. That is because similar problems have already occurred for both Toyota and other car manufacturers.
To make matters worse, observers have noted that this problem is not a new issue at all. ABC news had a report from one of the other Apple company co-founder, Steve Wozniak, that he had noticed there was a problem some time ago and tried to get others to pay attention. I have no reason to doubt that he was telling the truth. But as for the car companies, it appears that they control the information that is given to the consumer. First is described as a minor problem, then an investigation reveals that the problem is larger and has existed for a long time.
So then, what is the bottom line. Just this: if you have a car that runs good and you had no problems with it for now, just keep it! Stay away from new cars. Your old car is something you know how to deal with. But what are you going to do if you buy a new car and it decides to lurch ahead and the lead you into a non-coming train? Yes, this may sound like I am bad mouthing the auto build interesting. But they have brought this on themselves. This sort of thing is not excusable.

In the past she hears many home users have decided to use a wireless router in order to connect more than one computer to the Internet. A very practical idea. That way somebody can be using a laptop computer on the kitchen table while somebody else is in their bedroom on a computer. And you don’t have to make holes in the wall to pass wires. So it’s a very good idea. Is that what you think?
Let’s be frank about some of the difficulties you may have with the wireless network. If you have no experience with wireless networking and if you do not have a friend that can help you, you may find it a real challenge. Although many individuals find that works right first time, that’s not always the case.
Here is some very practical advice. Find a friend who has the common experience in this area. Perhaps he has the same kind of computer you do and has used the same kind of Internet service. In that case he may be able to give you exact information about how it should be done. Unfortunately, there are differences in brands of computers and there are differences in services provided by companies such as AT&T or Comcast.
Very likely you want to use a laptop computer with fear local Internet service provider. They may recommend a wireless router to be used with their equipment. My personal feeling about this is that you have to go if they had and use what they recommend. It may cost you more, but it can save you a headache and insert is something wrong with the thing that sold you, they have to fix it. Now understand that I am an experienced technician and have worked on electronic devices for many years. Still, when it comes to networking computers it gets to be hard for anybody unless you are an absolutely brilliant person.
So the best recommendation is to find a friend that can explain to you in simple terms what you need to have a wireless Internet connection in your house.

Gello again!
My personal name probably would not get much attention. Just a very plain English name. So I decided to make up a fictitious name and I got the idea of calling myself Deak 9 PM. Many times when someone wants to get technical support they find that it closes up at 9 PM present time. So, I was willing to offer help to people after 9 PM and that’s how I got my name. If you’re interested in setting up a phone call on my 800 number please drop me a line. Otherwise you can just ask a question here on this blog and I will try to answer you back.
I am now retired and have spent many years in and out of the electronic industry. My first love was being a radio amateur way back in my high school days. That was a long, long time ago. Since then I have worked in computer programming and also in hard disk drive research. So I may be qualified to answer some your questions about computer hardware and software. But of course, I don’t know everything.
